I was about to ask a similar question, but maybe it's better to join this topic. I have my own flowchart layout algorithm in our project, but it is hardcoded in the class inheriting the Crainiate component and because of that it's not flexible. I've seen in the docs that there is a possibility...

I would say check out the flowcharting example installed in the Crainiate -> ERM Diagram 4.1 -> Examples start menu or program folder - that has a very nice look and feel for an org chart. You an also play with the look and feel using the Diagram Studio Application, although this is fairly limiting...
