Connector above or below shapes even using Avoid

I suppose this is a consequence of the Shapes being too close (and I'm not able to tell the arranging engine how to make distances larger)
Even using the Avoid=true, the connectors are drawn over the shapes.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what is there a way that I don't know to tell the layering engine a Padding around the shapes so that the connector have enough room to avoid passing over the shapes?

    Hope you have some suggestions.

Thank you again and sorry for the number of questions.

The connectors are redrawn after the layout - the layout is only concerned with shapes. If they overlap (the bounds + the padding) then a connector will try route around the combined shape, otherwise it will go over the top if the path is too long. After a layout is may be best to recalculate the connectors using the Route() method.
