What happens to SVG after Adobe has discontinued SVG viewer support

I was wondering what other crainiate users are going to do with publishing SVG's after Adobe has stopped supporting svg viewer (in 2009 according to their web site). Are there other similar products that can be used with IE? Will crainiate make other export formats that can replace it?

This is a good question. Future versions of  ERM Diagram will support XAML and so will use the Silverlight plugin.

However as a standard XAML is not ideal for us so we may look into alternatives, such as continuing support for SVG.

Which future versions of ERM will support this and when are they planned to be released?

Version 5.0 will continue to support SVG. All major browsers apart from IE support SVG and pressure is now on Microsoft to support this as a standard.

We will recommend an alternative browser if you do not wish to use an unsupported plug in.

I was actually wondering when you will release an ERM version that will support silverlight for web views? Our user base is at least 90% IE users so we do not currently have the option of delivering solution that will not be supported on that platform.

IE9 will support SVG. All other vendors currently support SVG. After a slow start, the format has taken off it seems.
